What is a Talent Pool?
Using a talent pool feature you create a pool (group) of workers. Usually when you create a talent pool you add workers of similar characteristics. For example, you create a group of workers who have shown great potentials of becoming next CEO of your organization. Similarly, you can create a group (pool) of emerging talent. In the talent pool terminology, workers you add to a pool are called members, similar to succession management where workers in a succession plan are called candidates.
Talent pool in itself doesn’t do anything, but you use these pools in various other places such as succession plan and talent review meeting.
