What is an Offering?
Through offerings, we determine how a course is delivered (offered) to learners in various formats. For example, a course on Digital Marketing can be delivered to learners through online content, such as videos, which they can watch at any time to gain knowledge on Digital Marketing. Similarly, they can also enroll in the same course if it is delivered by an instructor. The instructor can deliver the course in a physical classroom or virtually through online tools such as Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc
In Oracle Learning Cloud we can configure following three types of offerings for any course:
- Self-Paced Offering : Using this method, learners can access available learning content at their own pace, without the need for an instructor or a physical classroom.
- Instructor-Led Offering : In this offering method, an instructor is typically physically present in a classroom to teach a group of learners.
- Blended Offering : An offering that combines elements of both self-paced and instructor-led approaches is known as a blended offering. In such cases, learners initially attend the course with an instructor and subsequently engage with additional online content.
In this article we will learn to configure all these three different types of offerings for a Digital Marketing Course we configured earlier. If you haven’t done already, please follow this article first » Learn to Configure Course
