What is Content Library?
Within a recruiting application, there are certain elements that are commonly used repeatedly. For instance, when creating a job posting on the career site, it is customary to provide a concise description of the organization. This employer description remains consistent across all vacancies. While the job description, location, roles, and responsibilities may vary, the employer description remains constant. Similarly, during the candidate selection process (CSP), automated emails are often sent to candidates to keep them updated on the progress of their candidacy. In most cases, the content of these emails remains the same.
To avoid the need for repetitive typing, it is preferable to have these contents, such as the employer description and email content, written only once and stored in a centralized location. This way, they can be easily reused whenever a new job is posted or when sending an email to a candidate. Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) offers a solution for this through its Content Library.
The Content Library feature allows you to configure various reusable text contents that are frequently utilized throughout the recruiting lifecycle. You can access to content library directly using task Recruiting Content Library, or you can also follow below navigation.
Navigation : Setting and Actions » Setup and Maintenance » Recruiting and Candidate Experience » Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management » Recruiting Content Library
These reusable elements are called Content Item in the Content Library there are different types of categories for these items. An item which holds employer description has category “Employer Description”. Next, we will explore the process of creating a content item within the Content Library.
