Using Touchpoints for Feedback
Providing feedback or requesting feedback isn’t a new concept in Oracle Talent Management. These functionalities exist even without Touchpoints. They have already been covered in the following articles:
- How to Configure and Use Anytime Feedback in Oracle Talent Management?
- How to Configure and Use Request Feedback Template
Before we proceed further, we assume that you are already familiar with the feedback concept in Oracle performance management. If not, please go through the mentioned articles above, as the underlying concept remains the same in Touchpoints as well.
Anytime Feedback Vs Request Feedback
There are two distinct types of feedback in Oracle Talent Management. We will delve into both of them. However, it’s crucial to grasp the disparities between them and their respective uses to prevent any confusion as we discuss them further in this article.
Anytime Feedback
This is a straightforward concept that doesn’t require any pre-configuration to use. You can provide feedback to anyone at any time using a simple text box. You can offer feedback to one person at a time. In short this functionality is used to give feedback to others.
Request Feedback
This isn’t readily available. First, an administrator needs to configure a request feedback template, which is based on questionnaire. Only after that, you can request feedback from others, and they can provide feedback based on the attached questionnaire from the template. When seeking feedback, you can select multiple individuals. In short this functionality is used to request feedback from others.

Before we can explore Touchpoint feedback functionality we need to be ready with prerequisites which are mentioned in this section of article. To start with, lets configure questionnaire first.
