1. What is Request Feedback Template?
Feedback templates contain questionnaire that can be used to take feedback from anyone in the organization. Unlike Check-In Template, Feedback Templates is not restricted only between worker and manager. Employees can choose to request feedback from any one such as peers, managers etc. You can also send request to multiple people together. Suppose at the end of the project you want to take feedback from everyone you worked with, just select all members of that project and send feedback request. You can also see progress/status of the feedback. Feedback received through feedback template can also be included in performance document.
An organization can have multiple templates created for different purposes. For example you can create one template to get feedback at the end of the assignment/project, one you can create for general purpose another one can be created to take feedback after any service you provided etc.
Now let’s see how feedback template is configured and used in oracle cloud application.

2. Be ready with what you need to configure Feedback Template
We need to compulsorily associate one questionnaire with feedback template. So, be ready with a questionnaire that you want to associate with feedback template. Only one questionnaire can be attached with a feedback template, so you may create one with following questions. Please ensure subscriber type of questions is Performance 360 and you give it a name AP Feedback Questionnaire

3. How to Configure Feedback Template?
To configure Feedback Template search for task Feedback Templates or navigate to My Client Groups » Performance » Feedback Templates
You are on Feedback Template page, click on the + icon (Create) button in the search result section. On Create Feedback Template page enter details as follows
- Name : AP Feedback Template
- Comment : <Anything>
- Status : Active
- Template Type : General feedback
- Questionnaire : AP Feedback Questionnaire
- Include in Performance Document : Yes
Note : You can click on the link View Questions to ensure you have attached correct questionnaire.
When giving the template name give it some meaningful name as this name will be visible to employees while requesting and giving feedback. You can also choose to enable Include in Performance Document if you wish to include feedback in performance document.
Once you enter all these details, click on Save and Close button.
4. How to Request Feedback?
Once the feedback template is configured it is instantly available for all workers to use. Unlike Check-In template we don’t need to associate any eligibility nor need to run any process to assign this template.
Now to use this functionality navigate to Me » Career and Performance » Feedback here you will see following sections (assuming all sections are enabled through Transaction Design Studio )
- Feedback Given to Me
- Feedback Requested About Me
- Feedback Given to Others
- Feedback Requested About Others
First section Feedback Given to Me is for anytime feedback, which we have explained here » How to Configure and Use Anytime Feedback in Oracle Talent Management? . What we need to concern right now is the second section that is Feedback Requested About Me
Click on the +Add button (under Feedback Requests About Me) and you will be on page Request Feedback for Me. The very first section you will see here is Who do you want to ask?
In the Select Person field search for the person you need feedback from. You can also click on Select Peers button to see all your team members reporting to same manager.
You will notice that following two checkboxes are already enabled
- Share feedback with manager
- Share feedback with me
If you wish and do not want to share feedback with manager you can uncheck first box, if you dont even want to know the feedback given by other you can uncheck second box also.
Now, click on the Continue button and you will see next section that is What do you want to ask?
On this screen you can select the feedback template we created earlier. If there are multiple templates configured, you will see all of them (as stated earlier always give meaningful name to the feedback template so that employee can understand the purpose of template just by seeing the name). Just select the template we created earlier – AP Feedback Template.
Once you select the template name, system displays all questions associated with that template. Additionally you can also add more questions if you would like to (only if its enabled through questionnaire configuration)
Click on the Continue button again and you will see next section that is When do you need it?
Click on the filed Provide Feedback By and enter a week later from today’s date.
Optionally, also enter some message for the receiver.
Once all these details are entered, click on Submit button.
As soon as you click on the Submit button, you will be back on Feedback Page. Under the Requests section, you can also search or filter all feedback you have requested in the past.
There are three statuses of a feedback, given below
- New
- In Progress
- Completed
5. How to give feedback?
Let’s login as employee who is supposed to give give feedback. Employee will see bell notification to provide feedback (he will also receive email notification)
You can click on that link to open notification. Inside the notification you will see message entered by employee and also the check box that confirms that feedback is shared with manager.
To provide feedback you can either clicks on the hyperlink that reads Provide Feedback, or you can navigate to Me » Career and Performance » Feedback » Feedback Requested About Others section
Both will take you to same page to provide feedback.
After answering all questions, clicks on the Submit button to complete the feedback. This will send a notification to employee that feedback is completed. Manager of the employee will also come to know that feedback process is completed.
6. How to See Feedback?
To see the feedback given by employee you can navigates to Me » Careen and Performance » Feedback » Feedback Requests About Me section
As the feedback status is completed, you can click on the three dots and select option View Feedback to see feedback.
7. What do you need to know more about Feedback?
Currently employees (requester or provider) do not have option to delete the feedbacks. But HR Specialist has the option to delete the feedback. HR Specialist cannot just delete but can also perform below actions.
- View Feedback
- Delete
- Revise
If HR Specialist decides to Revise a completed feedback, it will change the status back to In Progress. This will also notify all parties involved in the feedback process. Now Feedback provider has to revisit the feedback and do necessary amendments in the feedback before submitting it again.
